London-based artist Rana Begum merges sculpture, painting and architecture into captivating forms. Educated at Chelsea College of Art & Design and Slade School of Fine Art, she crafts visual experiences that blur the lines between modern urbanity and traditional Islamic geometric patterns, with light playing a crucial role. Her commissioned work for The OWO is inspired by its architecture, utilising extruded aluminium with a matt metallic finish to highlight the dynamic interplay between surface and light, the possibilities of scale, and the idea of the infinite.
