Raised in Poland’s sublime Masurian Lake District, London-based artist Millena DeMille spent the first 20 years of her career as an interior designer, integrating her art into her schemes. Her work, known for its use of 'non-colours' and occasional vivid blues or greens, explores semi-abstract themes of nature, memory and travel. Utilising silver, copper and gold leaf, her pieces capture the essence of natural beauty. "Gold Laced Skies," showcased in The Lawrence, reflects on celestial significance, aligning with the nautical motif honouring World War I Naval Officers.
