A duplex across the building’s sixth and seventh floors, arranged in reverse: the front door opens at the top, straight into the life of the house, and the floor below keeps its rest. A single pendant drops the full height of the stair, holding the two levels in one gesture.
TRADITION AND CRAFTSMANSHIP, SHAPED FOR CONTEMPORARY LIVING
Banda’s rooms read as collected rather than decorated. Vintage pieces and bespoke furniture sit against craft-led materials – an antique tapestry on the stair, a study wrapped in woven linen – and the kitchen, in dark wood and dark marble, is built as much for company as for cooking. Its main terrace looks towards the London Eye, its planting drawn from the lush, natural palette of Hyde Park – one of several supporting different moments, from informal breakfasts to larger evening gatherings.
Floorplan
The seventh floor carries the social weight: kitchen, dining room, study and bar, a reception room of more than thirty feet, and three terraces – the longest running almost eighty feet along the north-eastern length.
The sixth floor turns private. The principal suite is entered through its own dressing room, the two guest bedrooms alongside, an en-suite and a dressing room to each; a fourth bedroom and bathroom stay above, beside the entertaining rooms. Life at the top, rest below – and the stair between them, lit by the pendant that falls through the house.
