The Spies Tour steps out into Whitehall, tracing the espionage that shaped the street and the building that gave rise to MI5 and MI6, before returning to The OWO for afternoon tea. Tea is served in The Drawing Room – panelled, plush seating, its windows opening onto the Household Cavalry. At its heart is Secrets & Spies: the Operation Mincemeat tea, a sequence of pastries that traces the audacious 1943 deception once coordinated within these walls, each cake a chapter of the ruse that helped turn the war.
