Our Considered Experience
The culmination of an exhilarating journey of artistic discovery, The OWO Art Collection began in 2014 when the Old War Office was acquired by the Hinduja family.
Guided by the vision of Shalini Hinduja, with the support of Matteo Canepari Head of Design and Planning and London art consultancy ARTIQ, The OWO is now home to an extraordinary collection of artworks by an eclectic assembly of celebrated artists, with many pieces specially commissioned for their specific locations.
Displayed across the public spaces where they can be admired and contemplated at length, The OWO Collection explores the human story. Its considered four-part narrative encompasses the following themes: A Tunnel Through Time; Celebrating Contemporary Creativity; Innovation, Industrialization & Craft; and Nature, a Theme of Rebirth & Renewal.
The storytelling which connects these themes continues into the private guestrooms, with unique artworks directly commissioned from five female artists, all based in London. The overarching objective of the commissioning process was to support artists at every stage of their career, from emerging to established, to showcase an extraordinary breadth of talent.
